Feb came and went fast and then we had a small taste of spring which has me down the rabbit hole of warm weather dressing, but before we get to that I would be remiss to not mention my favorites of this cold cold month.
Stick Pins:
It's no secret I love brooches but this month I finally tapped into the world of stick pins and wow I have unlocked a whole new sector to my collection. I am starting it off strong with this gorgeous Lalique one I found on Poshmark and she is perfect.
Double Brooching:
Continuing on the above one of my favorite ways to wear my new stick pin is by double brooching with it. What started as a pragmatic solution to my floppy flower brooch turned into my new obsession. I cannot wait to play around with this more.
Waist Belts:
My obsession with waist belts was rekindled this month. This fab Tory Burch leather one was on heavy rotation, so much so that I am eyeing this even more dramatic Déhanche one.
The Loewe Amazona Bag:
February was the month I finally bit the bullet and purchased the 2010 Loewe Amazona bag I had been stalking on e-bay. I have gone on a deep dive of these bags and I can’t get enough. They check every box for me. I'll keep it brief but I have a whole post here.
Hanni:
What has been getting me through these cold dry months is Hanni. I am ashamed to admit but I am not a religious post- shower moisturizer. I do aspire to be one of those self care wellness 12 step nighttime routine goddesses, but for now my body is lucky to see lotion once a week. Hannis's Splash Salve however has gotten me one step closer to becoming her. This is a lazy girl's dream. It goes on in the shower, you rinse it off and you're done. A one stop shop.
Stirrup Leggings:
I have been on the hunt for these for the past two years, I have always thought them to be so chic and remember my mom always rocking a pair of stirrup pants. These Splits59 ones are the best of both worlds. You can dress them up without them looking too much like legging leggings if you know what I mean, or wear them more casually and for their original purpose to workout in. We love multi-functional piece of clothing.
The God of the Woods:
I was in a reading funk and this got me right out. Not much to say on this since I don't want to give spoilers but if you need a good book here it is.
French Butter:
It may sound dumb, of course French butter is better, but I didn't think I would be able to be acquainted with it on a daily basis here in Boston. This is solving my Paris heartache and is well worth the splurge for a delish daily bite.
And now we shop for spring!!
OBSESSED with God of the Woods
Thank you for affirming that splits59 is the way to go with stirrups!
