Laundry List no. 4
A day or too late…
The Laundry List is my running collection of everything on my mind. The thoughts, wants, and inspirations constantly circling in my head recorded. It’s like a public version of my Notes app, where I sort through mental fragments that range from wishlists to everyday to-do lists.
I apologize for this week’s delay in Laundry List getting published. As I mentioned earlier this week I have been operating behind schedule and finally getting my bearings. Anyyyy whooooo here is everything I have been thinking about and loving this week.
Park Carmen Short
If you’ve been online these past few weeks, you’ve likely seen the viral photo of Margot Robbie flawlessly executing airport style and wearing a uniform I plan to live in once warmer weather arrives IF I can get my hands on these Beare Park shorts.
The new to me Australian label has created my dream board short: comfort courtesy of an elastic waistband, sophistication delivered in silk dupion. I need them in my life and have my back in stock notifications set. I will add the disclaimer that these got restocked last week, however, the 5pm AEST converts to 2am EST so I will be having to set an alarm to roll over and checkout in my sleep mid March.
Hair Pins
Lately my hair has just been bothering me, which usually signals it’s time for my yearly haircut. In the meantime, I’ve been clipping it up in a messy updo to keep it out of my face. *Editor’s note: just messy enough to feel nonchalant, but polished enough to look intentional.

To elevate things (and help with the polish), I’ve made it my mission to learn a proper French twist. Since I love brooches, the next natural step is figuring out how to adorn my hair too. I loved watching my mom twist her hair up with hair sticks, so I’m carrying on the tradition just with my own little twist (pun fully intended). Have my eye on this, this, and this (and if I had a million dollars this) to elevate my curls.
Fara Homidi
These little compacts have a chokehold on me and I think I have been influenced. I spent the better part of an hour watching reviews on the Essential Face Compact. The concept of a choose your own finish and an ease of application, all tucked inside a candy colored compact that’s become synonymous with cool girls. I just have to have it.
Tory Shoes
My Tory sale purchase finally arrived, and I wasted no time giving them the spotlight they deserve. Like every pair of Tory shoes I own, it was love at first sight.
They’re surprisingly comfortable for their height (especially since pumps usually gift me heel blisters), and I wore them out all night without a single issue. Conveniently, this happened to be the same night as the aforementioned martinis, and I’m pleased to report they proved functional and resilient, cleanig up effortlessly with a damp cloth after a particularly dirty introduction to a dive bar floor.
Four Thousand Weeks:
You too have likely seen a lot of discussion, ironically online, around “going analogue” and how the cool girl is actually offline engulfed by her own life. To that I raise you the concept of time as laid out by Oliver Burkeman in Four Thousand Weeks: Time Managment for Mortals. Cool girls aren’t obsessed with productivity; they understand there’s no version of life where everything gets done. We can’t conquer time and realizing that is wildly freeing. And yes I too got a Brick in the New Year.
That is all for this week! I will be in Florida this weekend and am crossing my fingers I come back feeling inspired for some warmer weather dressing!

The picture from The Row... on my mind ALWAYS. Loved this piece!
You know I am keeping my eyes peeled for a dupe of these BP shorts, so obsessed!
