The Laundry List No. 7
The Laundry List is my running collection of everything on my mind. The thoughts, wants, and inspirations constantly circling in my head recorded. It’s like a public version of my Notes app, where I sort through mental fragments that range from wishlists to everyday to-do lists.
No. 1 Beaded Necklaces
I love summer mostly for the accessories, specifically the necklaces. I’ve always gravitated toward chunky beads, but lately I’ve been leaning into longer, more relaxed strands. It started with one I picked up from Hart, which I now reach for constantly. It just works with everything and feels very easy to throw on.

I’ve also fully embraced the button-down, a very 28-year-old evolution, and I tend to wear them year-round in lightweight cottons and linens. Lately, a long beaded necklace layered over a slightly undone button-up has become my go-to formula. I’ve been seeing so much good styling inspiration around this combination, so I’ll share a few favorites below, along with a roundup of the beaded pieces I’m loving right now.

No.2 Red Light Mask
I finally caved and bought a red light mask. I’ve been a self-admitted hater and skeptic for a while, but after a bad breakout (and, again, turning 28), I had a moment of weakness and ordered one.
From everything I researched, the only options really worth it are the ones with enough power to actually make a difference, and the Theraface kept coming up as one of the best. Unfortunately, it’s also one of the most expensive. Still, I convinced myself the $650 price tag (closer to $700 with tax) would be worth it in the long run.
I’ll report back, but so far I mostly just love the ritual of it. As someone who keeps their beauty routine very low maintenance, mostly out of laziness, it at least makes me feel like I’m doing something.
No.3 Surf Pants
Surf pants have been everywhere on my feed lately, and I’m fully on board (lol). I love them as a way to add contrast to an outfit by dressing them up or to just lean into the relaxed, slightly undone vibe. There’s also just a lot of good styling happening around them right now, and a lot of great ones on the market.
The first pair that caught my eye this season were the Alfalo ones, and I still have not stopped thinking about them. If they restock the black, I may pull the trigger. Rosie Assoulin also has some really great, more unique options, but fair warning they are a splurge. I’ve also been eyeing these and these. Honestly, anything from this brand.

No. 4 New Work Bag
After five years, I finally swapped out my work bag. It felt a little bittersweet since I bought my Chloé tote right when I graduated and started my first job, a true treat to myself “you have a big girl job” purchase at the time. I had been lusting after it for years, so actually owning it felt kind of surreal and it served me so well.
I still love it, but lately it’s been feeling a bit too bohemian for where my style is now. I upgraded to this gorgeous Strathberry bag, which still has that relaxed, slouchy hobo feel but with more shape and structure. It feels much more aligned with my current taste.
It also fits everything I need: my laptop, lunch, a handful of lip balms, my charger, my work phone, and then some extra random bits and bobs.
No.5 Bathing Suits
Bathing suits are, without question, my least favorite thing to shop for, and somehow the category I hold onto the longest. I have an entire bag of them shoved under my bed dating back to 2018, which feels both excessive and deeply unsurprising. And I think, finally, it’s time to let them go. All of them.
A few technically still fit, but I’m over the ritual of trying on old suits just to feel bad. It’s not productive, and it’s definitely not necessary. I’d rather start fresh: a small, considered edit of 2-4 that I actually feel good in.
I am eyeing a few one-pieces, with the idea of having them serve a dual purpose as both a tank top and a swimsuit on vacation. I am open to any and all recs, but am currently eyeing this one that I keep getting served from Tropic of C.
See you next week! Have a lovely long weekend!
